I had high hopes when I came upon this dentistry while searching online. The reviews, the aesthetics and technology was all very impressive and I was looking for a new dentist.

When I went in for the first time everyone seemed so pleasant and kind and the assistants genuinely were. My issue was with the financing person, Dr. Patel’s wife Nashi. She is a real piece of work and appears to be very friendly when she is ringing you up for charges but change your mind and she will change. Keep your hands on your pocketbook when talking to her.

She and I spent time discussing a treatment plan but she did not take the time to inform me about the fact that they will accept my insurance but that they are not in-network and the charges would mostly come out of my pocket. There is no transparency and she seems to only see $ signs when you are talking with her about services. Even though I already had a huge balance on my treatment plan she wanted me to spend more.

One thing that should have made me change my mind instantly was when she was adding all of my treatment cost and it added up significantly so she went into my Care Credit account online to see what my limit was. She literally was advising me to increase my credit limit and even went to that screen as if she was waiting for me to agree so she could click it for me!

I had never seen a professional do something like that before.
I thought that this office could be a one-stop shop for me until I seen her greed. I had already paid for Botox because they had a special at the time, and it wasn’t even effective! It probably was diluted to make more money because I didn’t even see an improvement in my frown lines and I told Dr. Patel as much.

Most of my treatment was paid for with my Care Credit card but she was trying to up-sell me on veneers and anything else she could come up with.

Once I went home and reviewed the treatment plan and compared it to a previous one, their charges were astronomical in comparison. At the time they were replacing a crown and filling a cavity but they had advised me on much more treatment but once I thought about everything I changed my mind and just had the crown and filling done with them.

Another thing they do is request you to give them a good review over and over. I must have had at least 5 people in that office remind me to do a review for them before I left the very first visit and I agreed but I was waiting until I finished my treatment and thank God I did because things changed quickly after I told her that I changed my mind about getting the rest of my treatment.

Her fake friendly demeanor quickly changed and at first I didn’t even have a balance on my account until one day they called me about coming back for a cleaning and I told them that I wasn’t ever coming back. Shortly thereafter they send me a text bill for $15 so I called to contest it and asked them to do an audit on my account because it wasn’t there before.

Next thing I know they have increased the charges to $138.10 and now I am getting emails saying that I have an overdue bill. When I called about it they are justifying it by saying they had given me credit before because they thought I was getting more work done with them. I curse the day that I ever walked into that office and unless you want to be manipulated out of your hard earned cash I would steer very clear of Dental Concepts.

I wasn’t even going to do a review although I thought Dr. Patel’s wife displayed some unethical behavior. But once I seen them trying to get more money out of me after I have already paid more than enough for basic needs like a crown and filling and also bought Botox from them that didn’t work, this was the last straw. The absolute best Dental experience I’ve ever had.. my first visit was in 2024. For some reason, I went to another dentist and IMMEDIATELY CAME BACK to Dr. Barnes and Dr. Patel. Every detail in this office is expertly curated for the patient experience, and they care about more than just your teeth. I would recommend that anyone with BCBS verify this office's network status directly with their insurance before scheduling an appointment.

When I scheduled my September 2026 appointment, I specifically asked whether Dental Concepts was in-network with BCBS. I was told, “we take BCBS.” Based on that response, I understood that the office was in-network with my BCBS plan.

After my appointment, I received a very large out-of-pocket bill. I contacted BCBS directly and confirmed that Dental Concepts is out-of-network for my plan. BCBS also confirmed that I would have paid significantly less had I gone to an in-network provider.

During the visit, I also agreed to additional treatments, including multiple sealants, which ultimately contributed substantially to the cost. In hindsight, I wish the treatment and expected insurance coverage had been explained more clearly before I agreed to the additional procedures, and I would have sought a second opinion before proceeding.
I ultimately paid nearly $1,000 out of pocket for the visit. My biggest concern is that I specifically asked about being in-network and received an answer that led me to believe the office was in-network when it was not.

If you have BCBS, I strongly recommend checking the BCBS app and confirming that both the dentist and office location are in-network before receiving treatment. I will be using an in-network provider going forward.

I cannot thank Dr. Patel and her amazing assistant, Paula, enough! I had quite a few gaps between my teeth(a lot 🤣🤣🤣)and they did an incredible job closing every single one. I’m so happy with my results and truly grateful for their work. They have made such a big difference in my smile, and I couldn’t be more thankful! I speak French but they take their time listen all my concerns with my broken English.

The treatment is a little pricey, especially since I don’t have dental insurance, but the quality of their work and the overall experience make it worth it. The office is spotless, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the whole experience feels like being at a spa rather than a dental office!

I also want to give a special shout-out to Olivia at the front desk. She always has a wonderful attitude, greets me with a smile, and makes me feel comfortable and welcome every time I visit. Her positive energy really makes a difference!

Thank you, Dr. Patel,  Paula 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾   for always being so kind and welcoming for your amazing work, kindness, and professionalism.
