Job Description

Structural Engineer/Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Lake Oswego, OR

About the Role:

We are seeking a Structural Engineer/Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing structural team. You will contribute to the design and evaluation of a diverse range of projects, including commercial, industrial, transportation, and water/wastewater structures. This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive compensation package and benefits.

Typical Projects Include:

  • Commercial/Industrial/Manufacturing Non-Building Structures
  • Bridge and Transportation Structures
  • Construction Support for Contractors and Owners
  • Condition Evaluations, Seismic Evaluations, Structural Observation
  • Vaults, Walls, and Tanks
  • Water/Wastewater Structures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects, collaborating with staff and sub-consultants.
  • Manage client requests, ensuring their needs are met on time and within budget.
  • Apply structural engineering principles to design safe and stable structures.
  • Serve as a technical advisor, providing guidance to junior staff.
  • Review designs and production deliverables to ensure compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Master’s in Structural Engineering is a plus.
  • Oregon State PE required or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Oregon/Washington State SE preferred or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Two years of project management experience is a plus.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Expertise in steel design and concrete design.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and business development experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Salary Range: $89,000 - $117,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
