As a Unarmed Security Guard - Government Site in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
