Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification (Aveanna can assist with this post-hire if needed)
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
  • Six months of hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation is a must

Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following the developed care plan and physician's orders while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Essential Job Functions

  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously observe and assess patient conditions, reporting changes as necessary.
  • Document all activities, assessments, and nursing actions in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the implementation and updating of the nursing care plan.
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and take appropriate nursing actions.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes and self-care techniques.
  • Maintain knowledge of nursing competencies through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments and compliance with nursing policies.

Preferences

  • Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience is a plus.

  • Excellent organization and communication abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to travel and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching are required.
  • Must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
