Systems Administrator to join our Autonomous Technology client on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of overall relevant experience, and live within a commutable distance to the office in Arlington, VA.

Title: Systems Administrator
Compensation: $57-66.00/hour (depends on experience level)
Type: Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities: - Manage the lifecycle of all IT hardware and software assets within the organization.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform system updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Identify and resolve performance issues in desktop environments.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and serial numbers.
- Track asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, including warranty management and depreciation schedules.
- Implement and enforce asset tagging and labeling procedures.
- Monitor software license compliance and manage renewals.
- Coordinate asset allocation and reassignment to users.
- Generate reports on asset utilization and cost analysis.
Qualifications: - Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems and common desktop applications.
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with network protocols and connectivity.
- Understanding of IT security best practices.
- Experience with IT asset management software.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports on asset usage.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with users at all levels.
- Problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests effectively.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills to work with other IT teams.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Experience with system management tools (Azure, Active Directory, JIRA).
- Knowledge of IT asset management best practices and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document procedures and technical knowledge clearly.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with users and other IT teams.
