Join to apply for the IT PACS Sr Systems Administrator role at CommonSpirit Health Responsibilities Oversee the complete administration of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and related medical imaging applications infrastructure. Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of PACS and related medical imaging applications software and hardware components. Facilitate the resolution and documentation of major incidents and outages in the production environment. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient use of the PACS system. Monitor and optimize PACS performance, resolving issues to ensure uninterrupted access to medical imaging data. Provide technical support and training to end-users, troubleshooting complex PACS-related problems. Implement process changes, collect data, and make workflow improvement recommendations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of processes involved in PACS administration. Respond to user requests and concerns regarding the systems. Inform medical imaging leadership of system changes, problems, and upgrades. Mentor and support junior PACS administrators with complex issues and professional development. Implement and enforce data security protocols to protect patient information within PACS. Work with cybersecurity teams to validate security measures. Interface with IT to integrate PACS with other healthcare systems. Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance PACS capabilities. Develop and maintain documentation including policies and procedures. Lead planning and execution of PACS upgrades, migrations, and expansions. Meet SLAs and perform other duties as assigned. Must reside within one hour of supported facilities. Qualifications 100% onsite position Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Medical Imaging, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field 7+ years of PACS administration experience, including system implementation and optimization Proficiency in PACS software and hardware, with understanding of medical imaging workflows Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of healthcare data security regulations and standards Analytical and problem-solving skills Leadership abilities to guide teams Detail-oriented with organizational skills Commitment to continuous learning Overview Inspired by faith.
