Job Description Summary
We are seeking a tech-savvy, organized, and enthusiastic individual to assist operations of our eSports Lab. The eSports Student Assistant will ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for users by maintaining equipment, assisting with technical issues, monitoring gameplay, and fostering a positive and inclusive gaming environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about eSports, gaming technology, and community engagement.

The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the job:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor the daily operations of the eSports Lab; ensures it remains functional and well-maintained.
• Monitor lab access, enforce usage policies and ensure a safe and inclusive gaming environment.
• Set up and shut down lab equipment.
• Assists student, staff and visitors with using the eSports lab equipment and software.
• Promotes safe practices in the eSports arena, and creating a fun area for students to attend.
• Responsible for all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Making programming decisions for intramural eSports tournaments.; assists in the registration, marketing, casting, and delivery of at least one intramural tournament per month.
• May occasionally assist the coaching and professional staff with additional administrative support for our competitive eSports program and be assigned other duties by the coaching, professional staff, and club sports information director such as Twitch stream, social media, digital signage, and etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have good customer service skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to follow through on assignments.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with faculty, staff and students.
• Understanding of esports
• Understanding of twitch

Education and Experience

• Must be enrolled at Ringling College of Art and Design
• Experience with Social Media
