Position Summary

The Safety Administrator is responsible for supporting and enhancing the organization’s safety programs with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, risk management, and employee well-being. This role manages elevator inspector licensing, coordinates safety training logistics, liaises with workers’ compensation carriers, and supports enterprise-wide safety initiatives, wellness and compliance efforts.

Key ResponsibilitiesLicensing & Compliance

Manage and maintain elevator inspector licensing records.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Monitor renewal deadlines and coordinate continuing education requirements.

Training & Class Registration

Coordinate registration and logistics for safety training classes across the organization.

Track employee participation and maintain accurate training records.

Workers’ Compensation Support

Serve as the primary contact for workers’ compensation carriers and adjusters.

Assist in the investigation and documentation of workplace incidents and injuries.

Support claims management and return-to-work programs.

Collaborate with Human Resources on leave coordination when applicable.

Enterprise Safety And Wellness Program Support

Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety policies and procedures.

Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

Support enterprise-wide safety campaigns and initiatives.

Initiate recruitment posts with NAESA and attend relevant industry meetings to support inspector recruitment and continuing education.

Explore and recommend wellness initiatives to help drive a culture of healthy employees.

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and documentation.

Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

Compile and submit OSHA logs annually.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety administration, workers’ compensation, or regulatory compliance.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management systems.

Preferred Skills

Experience with elevator inspection regulations and licensing processes.

Familiarity with enterprise-level safety program implementation.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
