Occupational Therapist - School at Supplemental Health Care summary:

The Occupational Therapist in a school setting evaluates students to determine therapy needs and implements individualized educational and therapy programs according to IEP goals. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and guardians while maintaining accurate records and progress data. This part-time role requires pediatric or school-setting experience, occupational therapy licensure, and includes potential travel between assigned schools.

We’re currently hiring in Dekalb, Illinois to support a school district in need of Occupational Therapists. School-Based Occupational Therapist Contract Details:

• $42 – $46 an hour
• 2025-2026 School Year
• Schedule: Part-time 4 days per week
• Start Date: August 2025
• End Date: May 2026
• Location: DeKalb, IL
• Develop and implement educational and therapy programs based on evaluation results
• Evaluates students to identify needs and determine eligibility for therapy services
• Collect therapy data, maintain accurate student records, and monitor progress toward student goals
• Work collaboratively and communicate with school interdisciplinary team and student guardians
• Schedule follows the school district calendar
• Will provide occupational therapy services according to student IEP
• Assigned schools may include various grade levels
• May be asked to travel between school locations
• May be asked to supervise assistants

Requirements:

• IDFPR Occupational Therapist license
• American Heart Association BLS
• Prior experience with pediatrics or in a school setting is preferred but not required
