Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Corporate Counsel to support our Stores Foundational AI business who build new and innovative shopping experiences that enable every customer to discover, evaluate, and select products they love. You will partner with teams developing cutting edge AI tools and features for customer-facing initiatives that directly impact the shopping experience. You will also get to work on big, cross-organization projects that make experiences at Amazon personalized and fun. The person serving in this role will provide legal guidance on new feature and product development; advise on complex issues, including privacy and regulatory matters; and counsel on key strategic initiatives. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and excel at simplifying legal review processes.

Key job responsibilities
• Support business leaders as lead counsel on product decisions
• Counsel on regulatory matters
• Provide day-to-day, customer-focused advice
• Handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries
• Occasional travel will be required.- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
