We have an opportunity for an electrical engineer who is seeking to utilize their strong academic background and experience in RF/Microwave system theory and design, including architectures, subsystems, components and Active Electronically Steered Antennas (AESAs). The successful candidate will employ their working knowledge of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and analytical skills in electromagnetic and microwave theory. Responsibilities include design and hands-on testing of microwave components, cards and systems plus providing technical support to production activities. Team leadership skills including cost and schedule management plus proposal writing and presentation experience are desired. The Antenna and Microwave Department provides innovative and affordable solutions to our customers in all business areas. We are responsible for designing phased array antenna systems inclusive of active and passive microwave components, radiators, radomes and a variety of RF subassemblies. We develop new technologies for advanced capabilities and provide support to all life-cycle phases of the best radar systems in active worldwide deployments and grow our people with exciting new challenges, on-the-job training, mentoring and purposeful rotations.What You Will DoDesign of RF microwave components and phased array applicationsIntegration and test of component level and system level phased array hardwareSome travel to integration sites, plus customer and subcontractor facilities, may be requiredQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:Microwave/RF system, subsystem and component analysis, design and testExperience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition and analytical tools such as MatlabQualifications We PreferBackground designing and testing analog CCAs, including frequency conversion, automatic gain control, amplifier design and analog filter designUnderstanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from the system to the component levelKnowledge of cost estimating, plus budget and schedule managementStrong academic background that includes courses in: Microwave Engineering, Microwave Systems, Electromagnetic Theory and Radar SystemsStrong hands on experience with microwave testing techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs)What We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
